Week 13: Apparently an Unlucky Number

This was already the 13th week of my internship, and honestly, after everything that happened, I’m starting to believe the number 13 really is unlucky. 😭

Monday wasn’t particularly busy, but I was honestly struggling a little and was already looking forward to going home. Little did I know that Tuesday was going to be about ten times more chaotic.

Tuesday started normally enough, but things quickly got crazy. A grandmother at the park suddenly became unwell, so an ambulance had to be called. Then, a child fell off their bike, and for a moment we thought they might have broken their leg. And just when I thought things couldn’t get any crazier, I managed to smash my head into a kitchen cabinet while loading the dishwasher. Of course, I immediately got really nauseous and developed a massive headache. My mom ended up coming to pick me up, so I went home to recover. Luckily, I survived the day! :)

Being the incredibly tough person that I am, I went back to my internship on Wednesday. I had animation that day, but there were only three kids. Needless to say, it was not exactly the most exciting animation shift ever, and it was honestly a little boring.

Thursday was much better because it was my mom’s birthday, so I had the day off to celebrate with her. Friday wasn’t too busy either, but there was just enough going on to keep things a little chaotic.

I was free during the weekend, so to celabrate her birthday with my boyfiend, i went to see the new Spider-Man movie in 3D with my mom and my boyfriend, which was the perfect way to end a very eventful week!

So, week 13 definitely lived up to its reputation. Between ambulances, possible broken legs, head injuries and only three kids at animation, I’m hoping week 14 will be a little less exciting!
