My 10th week as an intern

This week was a pretty good one overall! Monday was a check-in day, but it wasn't too busy, which meant we had enough time to help guests without feeling rushed. During my shift, I also delivered a few missing items to one of the bungalows, making sure the guests had everything they needed for a comfortable stay.

Tuesday was another nice day at the reception. Besides helping guests and completing my usual tasks, I also had my very first animation shift. I really enjoyed it because it was something completely different from working behind the reception desk. It was fun interacting with the guests in a different way, and I'm glad I got the chance to experience it.

Wednesday and Thursday were my days off, but they definitely weren't quiet days for the park. A guest accidentally threw a disposable barbecue with hot coals into one of the large underground waste containers, which caused a fire. Thankfully, the situation was handled quickly, but it was definitely an eventful incident.

Friday, I delivered a few more items to a bungalow for guests who needed them and helped out with the usual reception tasks throughout the day.

Saturday was another enjoyable day. I worked together with Mariette, and we had a great shift. On Sunday, I worked with Jorine, which was also really fun. We also received a grocery delivery for the park shop. Together, we priced all the products and stocked the shelves so everything was ready for guests.

Overall, it was a nice week with a good mix of reception work, new experiences, and teamwork. Every week I feel more confident in my role and learn more about myself.
