My 16th week as an intern

This was the 16th week of my internship, and it was another relatively quiet week. It wasn’t very busy, and with all the rain we had, the park was definitely a little calmer than usual. I was also still feeling pretty tired, but I’m starting to realise that being tired has become a normal part of my internship.

This was also my last week of animation, which I honestly have mixed feelings about. It has definitely been tiring, and I can’t say it’s my favourite part of the internship, but there were still some fun moments. It will be nice to have more time focused on the reception and the tasks that I really enjoy.

There was, of course, still some guest drama. One woman was extremely angry because of the Wi-Fi, which was not exactly the highlight of my week. It can be difficult when guests get really angry about something that I can’t always control, especially when I’m already tired.

Despite that, I’m feeling really good about how things are going at the reception. The tasks are going really well, and I don’t feel unfamiliar with things anymore. When I first started, there were so many things I didn’t know how to do, and now I can handle most situations without constantly wondering what I’m supposed to do.

I feel like my confidence is growing every single day. Everything I’ve learned during my internship has slowly given me more confidence in myself and in my abilities. I’m starting to feel like I actually know what I’m doing, which is a really nice feeling!

Even though I’m still tired, I’m happy with where I am. I really like the job I’m doing, and looking back at how much I’ve learned since the beginning makes me proud of myself.
